How we are in our body is how we are in the world. Our body is where we live. Body and mind are inherently connected. The more we recognize and work with this, the more integrated, sustainable, and effective our thoughts, feelings, and actions will be.
The more mindful we become of how we engage with ourselves, others, and the world around us, the better able we are to make conscious choices, reintegrate our inner and outer worlds, and reconnect with purpose and meaning.
Creativity and inquiry support wellness and vitality by allowing us to be curious, open to new perspectives, aware of habits and patterns, and inspired to live to our fullest potential.
By developing our embodied attention, we deepen our capacity to listen to ourselves and to others, and to manifest what is important and meaningful to us. By tapping into the intelligence of the body, we can alleviate limitations — from stress and doubt to physical injury and illness — and cultivate supports from resilience and calm to focus and motivation.
Alchemy Catalyst:Wellness takes a holistic view of health that values body-mind-spirit integration. Being with the body and the breath, learning how to notice and allow the present moment, navigating our form and function skillfully – these practices give us tools with which to heal in whatever way we need.
When we work together, I draw from my experience with many forms of yoga, somatics, embodied anatomy, meditation, mindfulness, energy practices including qi gong and breathwork — as well as training in authentic communication, active listening, and building community. My training includes study of the current research in neuroscience and psychology in regards to mindfulness and somatics, as well as the experiential understanding and practical application of many modalities. I combine these embodied and contemplative practices with my background as a mentor, coach, facilitator, group leader, and director in arts and education settings, to create effective and holistic programs that support physical, mental, spiritual, interpersonal, and organizational health.
I partner with you to discern which tools can best serve your process, so that the benefits can be most sustainable and empowering, both immediately and over time. You may be an individual with anxiety or chronic pain, or an organization looking to develop wellness programs for self-care or effective collaboration. In all these cases and more, I work to support transformation, thriving, and vitality so you can live, work, and create with ease, integration, and alignment in body, mind, and spirit.
