Teaching and learning are integral to being human and living fully. As long as we are alive we are learning, discovering, teaching, questioning. How we do this, and what we focus on, can be unconscious and limiting or supportive and empowering.
AlchemyCatalyst:Education supports students and educators in all contexts in their holistic development as creators and innovators in all disciplines, lifelong learners, and global citizens. My work focuses on experiential learning, collaboration, developing transferrable skills, and activating connections between mind and body.
Bringing the arts and wellness into education supports both individuals and communities. AlchemyCatalyst:Education reaches every student with an array of approaches and offerings that cultivate intrinsic motivation, curiosity, capacity, and confidence. It engages communities through active listening and empowered communication. It renews educators with wellbeing, resilience, and actionable steps towards sustainability, growth, and abundance.
I use my experience with holistic educational practices and principles to create effective, sustainable, and transformational programs for individuals and organizations in all fields. I design programs for individuals and groups drawing on principles of experiential learning, inclusive and student-centered pedagogy, mindfulness, reflective practice, whole body intelligence, leadership, collaboration, and cultivating innovation and organizational development.
As an arts educator, program director, and consultant, I have extensive experience in curriculum design, professional development for teachers and artists, and program development, implementation, and evaluation. I hold an MA in Dance Education from NYU, am a graduate of the Dance Education Laboratory at the 92Y Harkness Dance Center, and have completed certifications in yoga, somatics, dance, and as well as professional development and training with organizations including NDEO, ISMETA, NAIS, and the Center for Courage & Renewal. I’ve worked with independent and public schools, city and state agencies, studios, arts and cultural organizations, and corporations across many fields. In all of these arenas, I support communication and relationship development amongst stakeholders including educators, students, families, organizational leaders and administrators, and communities.
